Big thanks to Brett Barnes and Lifeworks for letting us observe during its Home Improvement Challenge last Friday.
Scores of volunteers form teams led by a volunteer designer to raise money, create a design and, in one day, completely redecorate the apartment of a Lifeworks client.
Lidia, one of the clients, was clearly stunned by the results. She was all smiles and surprise as she walked through her freshly painted apartment, complete with new furniture, a new TV and a new computer.
The 3M team was all smiles, too, so excited to watch her notice all the details of their work.
Stories like this, there’s not much copy can do. We’ll have tons of photos and the back-story in our November issue but really I can just summarize the theme of the day here: Amazing.
