Austin kids love helping others. Here’s more proof.
The students, staff and families from three Austin preschools – Primrose Schools of Shady Hollow, Southwest Austin and Bee Cave – raised more than $23,800 for charity.
“Giving without expecting is an important part of the Primrose culture and something we make a purposeful effort to teach our children,” said Kristin Rhoades, franchise owner of Primrose School of Shady Hollow and Southwest Austin.
This year’s record fundraising for the Primrose Children’s Foundation will benefit Primrose Schools’ newest charitable partner, Save the Children, which helps children living in poverty. The funding will also benefit Primrose Schools’ longtime partner, Reach Out and Read, which focuses its efforts on promoting early literacy.
