Nonprofit fighting homelessness wins the NXTMission board contest

NXTBoard, the Austin-based company that helps boards transform the way they work through the first-of-its-kind board portal that combines both board management and strategic planning features, in collaboration with GivingCityAustin, the guide to doing good in Austin, are pleased to recognize Texas Homeless Network as the winner of NXTMission Austin. As the winner of NXTMission Austin, Texas Homeless Network has been awarded a complimentary three-year license of the NXTBoard platform along with a year-long board transformation consulting engagement.

“We are excited to apply our non-profit expertise to Texas Homeless Network to transform the way a board operates, allowing it the opportunity to be more efficient, transparent, outcome focused and more readily able to support the organization in achieving its goals,” said Jeff Allyn, NXTBoard CEO. “The three-year license to our platform coupled with our consulting services will enable Texas Homeless Network to better achieve its overall vision and mission.”

NXTMission Austin was a city-wide search for the most-deserving non-profit organization to help transform a board’s operations by enabling them to streamline processes, drive accountability, defeat dysfunction and achieve outcomes. NXTMission Austin launched in January 2019 and accepted nominations through April. In early May, NXTMission Austin enabled the community to vote and select the winner, and Texas Homeless Network prevailed.

It was a delight to partner with NXTBoard to empower Austin-based non-profit organizations to better serve the community with  transformational tools and expertise.”

With NXTBoard, regardless of board type, users can plan all aspects of a meeting, from agendas to plans to supporting documentation to keeping minutes, as well as set, track and monitor goals, making the day-to-day of being a board member easier and more importantly helping boards have a greater impact in their community.
